This is the second wine of the great Château Gazin, immediate neighbour of Château Pétrus to whom it was forced through death duties to sell 9 acres of its vineyard in 1969. The lineage is therefore great
"The wine in 2013 quite excellent. Firm ruby colour. The nose has a perfume of beautifully fresh, inky black and red fruits and a palate that has an almost lazily, effortlessly deployed supple richness, ripe flavours and a generous and full finish. This is a ‘hearton-its-sleeve’ L’Hospitalet and all the better for it."
