Negra Loncomilla Maturana Wines 2021

Negra Loncomilla Maturana Wines 2021

Maturana Wines’ refreshing ‘Negra’ is made from the rare red San Francisco grape. Held to be the Negramoll variety of the Canary Islands and the Tinta Negra Mole of Madeira, it was brought to Chile in the 1500s by the Spanish conquistadors. ¬The wine comes from a very old vineyard in the Loncomilla Valley, deep in the Maule. ¬The grapes were fermented in the ‘ancestral method’, in open barrels with wild yeasts.

"This wine boasts an intense nose of cherries, with appealing spice undertones. The palate is fresh, with plenty of red fruit flavours and soft tannins. A fresh, fruity wine with real personality; easy-drinking and fun."
