There are two hectares of Chardonnay planted in Clos de l’Arlot, the domaine’s iconic, steeply sloping amphitheatre. The pink Prémeaux limestone contributes to this wine’s exuberant, broad, long-ageing character. Since the 2021 vintage, Clos de L’Arlot Blanc has included the vines that were previously destined for the young vine cuvée, ‘La Gerbotte’. Tasted from barrel, before bentonite fining. White peach aromas with white flower perfume and lemon zest. The palate is pithily citric on the entry, opening to reveal a precise mid-palate of sherbety energy, sheeny peach and pear skin, lifted by crunchy acidity.
