Bandol Tardieu-Laurent 2010

Bandol Tardieu-Laurent 2010

Inky, jet-plum in colour, fathomless and glittering, this has immediate appeal. A heady nose suffused with violets takes up the challenge. Warm fruit compote, cassis and mint, layered with dark chocolate and vanilla, is given an enticing dash of Herbes de Provence for good measure.. The palate is opulent, silk-textured and generous. Innate power is palpable yet there is a freshness which avoids any real sense of weight, all supported by cocoa-dry, fine tannins, through to a sustained finish.

"One of the world's only 100% Mourvedre wines and from 50 year old vines at that, will age 'forever'. All wine lovers should experience Bandol."
