A deep plum in colour, it clings alluringly to the sides of the glass. The nose is enticing, with a very obvious ripe red and black fruit character, cassis and kirsch, allied to spice and tobacco notes. The palate presents a similar aromatic profile, combining sweet berries, a savoury layer and mocha richness. Beautifully balanced, the ripe tannins are almost obscured by the intense concentration of fruit - a masterpiece
