Roc de Cambes, in the Côtes de Bourg, is owned by Francois Mitjavile of Tertre Roteboeuf, Saint Émilion Grand Cru fame. It mirrors the Saint Émilion property in both aspect and geology and the vines have an average age of 45 years. The grape mix here is 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the all-important seasoning of 5% Malbec - a stunning wine and a perennial Corney & Barrow favourite.
"The wine that wine merchants choose to drink... From François Mitjavile of Saint Émilion's Tertre Roteboeuf, Roc de Cambes is Bordeaux's best kept secret.
