Roc de Cambes, in the Côtes de Bourg, is owned by Francois Mitjavile of Tertre Roteboeuf, Saint Emilion Grand Cru fame, It mirrors the Saint Émilion property in both aspect and geology and the vines have an average age of 45 years. The grape mix here is 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the all-important seasoning of 5% Malbec - a stunning wine and a perennial Corney & Barrow favourite.
"Double the fun from François Mitjavile, he of Saint Emilion's Tertre Roteboeuf. The opulent, velvety Roc de Cambes is Bordeaux's best kept secret."
