Saint-Joseph Vieilles Vignes Tardieu-Laurent 2008

Saint-Joseph Vieilles Vignes Tardieu-Laurent 2008

This is 100% old vine Syrah fruit. Old vines have naturally low production and the resulting wines have much greater concentration. This is such a great buy, the wine is aromatic, brightly fruited and wonderfully perfumed - red fruit, dark chocolate and savoury hints of tobacco, all held in check by a precise mineral dimesnaion which drives the palate. Lovely focus - stunning wine.

"A very approachable, rich red with a pepper-spiced backdrop."
