Beauregard, with its distinctive windmill, is the highest of the domaine’s Santenay holdings, around 50 metres above the others. The vines are 30-70 years old. Poor soils, yet this tends to be the most approachable in youth. Violet and pure dark cherry aromas. The palate is supple and pliant, with cushioned berry fruit and crystalline fruit ripeness, framed by substantial tannins which will meld nicely over the coming years. 22% new oak. This will be bottled in late winter/early spring.
