Wine Region

Languedoc Roussillon, France

Vineyard

Jean d'Alibert

In the 17th century, Abbot Jean d’Alibert played a key role in making Minervois marble renowned around the world. Today, nearly four centuries later, a cooperative bearing his name is striving to achieve similar acclaim—this time with wine. Nestled in the picturesque hills between Narbonne and Carcassonne, Celliers Jean d’Alibert is one of the region’s oldest and most quality-driven cooperatives. Drawing from some of the Languedoc’s most diverse and expressive terroirs, it unites nearly 1,000 winegrowers who collectively cultivate over 6,000 hectares of vineyards. Spanning fifty communes across Hérault and Aude, the cooperative produces close to 400,000 hectolitres of wine each year.
