Careers at C&B

Events Co-Ordinator

We are looking for an EVENTS CO-ORDINATOR to be based at our Head Office at 1 Thomas More Street, London E1W 1YZ (near Tower Bridge).

The Events Co-Ordinator (EC) will report into the Marketing Team and will be an efficient, project orientated and skilled people collaborator who knows how to help create unique and memorable events and experiences which will attract new customers to C&B and re-inforce and refresh our relationships with existing customers. The EC will understand that the overall goals are to contribute to increasing total revenues for the company whilst enhancing its reputation as the organiser of first class, “Money Can’t Buy” Events.

Whilst the EC is a brand ambassador there are important logistical and administrative responsibilities that form massively important aspects of the role. For example:

- The pre, during and post planning and running of events, both internal and external – venues, catering, staffing, invitations, equipment and housekeeping. These events can be daytime or evenings.

- Working to a budget for each event, controlling costs but also ensuring that sales opportunities from events are maximised.

- Managing the Events section of C&B’s website as a promotional and invitational tool ensuring maximum outreach to new and existing customers as appropriate.

The EC will work with C&B’s Sales, Buying and Marketing teams to pull together ideas, innovations and collaborations to create authentic experiences to entertain, fascinate and engage customers both existing and potential, making C&B’s events a destination experience for wine lovers and, crucially, wine buyers! The EC will also be involved in Wine Producer visits, ensuring that C&B’s valued Wine Producers are confident of our abilities to raise brand awareness amongst customers in the UK.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

- Exceptional communication and organisational skills, instilling confidence in their abilities

- Preferably will have experience in Marketing or Events Management with an awareness of the logistics of catering events and etiquettes

- Be experienced working to a budget and able to report succinctly and accurately on the success of each event

- Be commercially aware of sales opportunities and how to maximise them

- Have a strong interest in wine and be prepared to improve wine knowledge rapidly

- Be personally flexible in terms of working hours – able to work flexibly to accommodate evening work when needed

The role offers an immediate start, competitive salary, annual (non-guaranteed) bonus, pension scheme, private medical insurance, wine discount, STL. If you wish to apply please forward your CV to [email protected] marked ATTN: CBK. A covering letter letting us know a little bit more about you personally and your reasons why you think you would be great in the role will be very helpful to us.

CLOSING DATE FRIDAY 31 JAN 2020. NO AGENCIES, PLEASE.
