The role interacts with several areas of our business, providing Sales Support, Customer Liaison, General office administration and Assisting customers with wine purchases and enquiries.

Reporting to the Managing Director C&B Scotland and Director C&B Scotland the main responsibilities for this role include;

General Office Administration

  • Answering telephone calls and taking messages for the Sales Team.
  • Taking customer orders & processing through the Dynamics AX system.
  • Filing and ordering office stationery.
  • Any other duties arising on a day-to-day basis.
  • Helping assist colleagues on basic IT matters.
  • Ensure office PCs, photocopier, printers are functioning.

Sales Support

  • Assisting in the preparation of quotes & creating Wine Lists
  • Supplier invoices – log, authorisation and posting to Head Office
  • Updating customer Wine Lists – vintage changes, tasting notes etc
  • Recommending & sourcing replacement wines for customer lists
  • Printing amended customer Wine Lists


Responding to customer enquiries

  • Advising Sales Team and Customers of any problems/shortages on orders
  • Co-ordinating with the Distribution Team regarding delivery requests / problems
  • Establishing a good rapport with customers
  • Correcting invoicing errors / resending invoices to customers
  • Raising Credit Notes
  • Sourcing Broking wine from the Corney & Barrow Website
  • Producing reports – Sales, Reserves, Broking etc.
  • Help assist with any special projects

The successful candidate must have - excellent communication skills, diplomacy and confidentiality, numerical skills and exceptional attention to detail. We are looking for a creative self-starter who will lead the implementation and management of our CRM strategy across the business (UK and Asia) and deliver our email campaigns for the UK market.

Corney & Barrow will be investing in a new CRM & ESP platform that will focus on single customer view and allow us to analyse, understand and segment our database so that we can personalise, track, test and lead the customer journey to maximise our customer retention and ultimately our revenues.

The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of how to leverage customer behavioural, lifestyle, transactional, and demographic data in order to deliver relevant marketing campaigns through emails and other communication channels with a vision of growing customer loyalty and increasing their lifetime value to the business.

Main Responsibilities / Requirements

Management and Strategy:

The CRM manager will play the main role of managing the business’s day-to-day customer relations protocols, CRM segmentation, onsite personalisation, and product recommendation tool.

The individual will be tasked with overseeing the creation of models against lifetime value, retention, churn, loyalty, and advocacy programs. He / she will be focused on consistent testing, learning, and optimization in order to maximize customers’ lifetime value.

Analytical/Technical Skills:

The CRM Manager will be responsible for business-wide customer analytics and behavioural reporting. He/she will drive the continuous optimization of on-site product recommendations, cross-selling and merchandising opportunities based on segmentation models and desired actions.

The CRM manager will also be tasked with conducting post-campaign analytics for the purpose of realizing recommendations for future CRM campaigns.

Collaboration:

The role of the CRM Manager is highly collaborative. Working closely with various departments in the business, inclusive of the senior management and key stakeholders, the successful candidate will develop and launch suitable digital marketing initiatives.

The individual will also work closely with the Asian marketing team, supporting them with similar CRM initiatives and data management.

The IT department will also be a key ally to better understand all CRM feeds and data flowing in and out of our new CRM system.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the smooth integration of the new CRM & ESP platform with existing ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics AX).
• Understand and periodically audit customer consent management data and workflows between CRM & ESP platform, website and ERP to ensure the company is acting in accordance with data protection legislation.
• Define and implement segmentations by reach, frequency, LTV and business’s goals.
• Design customer journeys flow for different customer segments to increase loyalty and reduce churn.
• Plan, design and deliver email campaigns (current email provider Mailchimp)
• Provide accurate reports and analysis to company management to demonstrate campaign effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
• Analyse, report, and evaluate the impact of any tests and changes to our email flow against lifecycle, including A/B tests.

Essentials Required:

Technical skills

• At least 3 years’ experience in CRM or similar role in a premium / luxury ecommerce B2C environment.
• Customer journey building experience, using a CRM & ESP platform.
• A detailed understanding of GDPR legislation, particularly in the areas of consent management and legitimate interest content, as well as a full understanding of the Privacy & Electronic Communication Regulations (PECR).
• Hands-on experience of working on an email platform, managing email lists and audiences, with good knowledge of HTML and photoshop (or similar tool).
• Copywriting skills and ability to shape copy and messaging. Excellent written communication skills with a high standard in reviewing and finalising customer facing communications.
• Strong analytical skills / data driven and problem-solving skills.
