London On-Trade Sales Executive

Corney and Barrow

Role and Responsibilities

Corney & Barrow Limited are looking for a London On Trade Sales Executive to work as part of the Merchant Sales Team.  The role will require an ability to identify new business opportunities, to develop these into leads and ultimately into new accounts and customers.

 

Reporting to the London On-Trade Sales Manager and thereafter the Associate Director and Head of Merchant Sales, the focus of this role is primarily dealing with restaurants and hotels across central London, with a strong emphasis on acquiring and developing new business with the successful candidate particularly adept in identifying key prospects to achieve and exceed annually adjusted sales targets.  Whilst the role will be on trade focused, there is scope for different types of customers as part of a healthy sales mix.  

 

We envisage that the role will be home based, whilst maintaining a close relationship with the London office.

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.

  • A passion for wine. Must be qualified to at least WSET Level 3.

Preferable skills

  • Previous On Trade sales experience is preferable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of other languages would be advantageous.

East Anglia Bar Supervisor & Shop Assistant

Role and Responsibilities

Corney & Barrow (East Anglia) Limited is looking for a Bar Supervisor & Shop Assistant.  This is an exciting new role and a fantastic opportunity to work with our Newmarket team. Reporting to the General Manager, the role requires you to be adaptable and flexible to help support the day to day needs of the Newmarket Shop and wider business as required.

 

The Bar Supervisor part of the role means you will ensure the smooth running of our off-site Bars at external events and will involve you recruiting and managing our casual workers, organising rotas and stock as well as being responsible for cash handling. Assisting in the Shop will offer you the opportunity to gain more experience and knowledge about wine and about Corney & Barrow and develop  your customer service skills to improve our customer relationships and increase turnover.

 

You will participate in maintaining relationships with key customers for whom we provide bar services and assisting with and attending customer tasting and training sessions, presentations and special events, both at the Newmarket Shop and externally.

  • A passion for wine and a desire to develop a strong knowledge of wine - qualified to WSET Level 2 is preferable with ambition to achieve WSET Level 3.
