Wine & Soul was founded by married couple Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges in 2001 - both established and renowned winemakers. They bought an old port lodge in Vale de Mendiz, part of the jaw-dropping Pinhao Valley, in the heart of the Douro wine region.
There, they rebuilt the traditional lagares and revived an old single plot of vines, home to over 40 native grape varieties. And so Pintas was born. A precious terroir that yields grapes for both still and fortified wines.
This Vintage Port opens with concentrated notes of raspberry and cassis, supported by beautifully poised tannins and promising years of development ahead. Rich yet remarkably fresh, it is a natural partner for Stilton or textured desserts such as a walnut tart.
