The Tavares family have a beautifully sited estate north of Lisbon. They grow a mix of international and indigenous varietals, overseen by the immensely talented, daughter of the house, Sandra Tavares da Silva. This combines the aromatics and focus of Arinto (15%) with rather sumptuous Chardonnay (85%) notes, aged in new French oak barrels.
