Deep ruby colour. An exciting nose, brimming with dark fruited, slaty intrigue and lifted by pretty tea leaf spices. The palate is resoundingly pure on the entry, showing dense yet nimble raspberry and blackberry fruit, framed by firm fruit-coated tannins on the mid-palate. Hints of coffee bean, bitter chocolate and cedar on the backpalate, with a fine grip pointing to a wine which will age majestically. This continues the theme of recent years of welcome approachability.
