This delivers a quite extraordinary nose, complex, rich in red fruit, almonds and clear citrus notes. 2013 vintage presents a lovely, inviting nose, combining primary fruit, both candied and fresh, together with citrus notes, allied to a rather more earnest, almond-scented, savoury layer. Poised and balanced throughout, this is an impressive ambassador for both the contrada and the vintage, finishing with a flourish, long and layered, with good mineral focus.
