Corney & Barrow Margaux 2016

Maison Sichel is a highly-respected family company – a Château owner, producer and négociant house, family-owned since its establishment in 1883. Maison Sichel has amassed more than 130 years of experience and spans six generations. Their aim here is to translate honestly, the spirit of the commune of Margaux, a relatively large appellation which encompasses all levels of grands crus classés, first to fifth. What we look for in Margaux is charm, elegance and refinement The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot

"Deep ruby in colour, with violet notes, this presents beautifully ripe, rounded, sweet fruit on the nose, tinged with gentle notes of vanilla and spice The palate offers cherries and berries enriched by toasted oak – impeccably balanced. Concentrated, with lots of personality, this bears the Corney & Barrow flag with aplomb, particularly effortless and oozing charm. Ticks all of the boxes "
