A truly lovely nose of winter berries, ground black pepper, blackcurrant and sous bois. The palate is refreshingly light on its feet, a juiciness and zesty lift allowing the dark fruited aromas to dance. Wonderful. Following fermentation, it is aged for 12 months in new and one year-old barrels, then spends six months in foudres.
