Domaine Gourt de Mautens Blanc IGP Vaucluse 2012

Domaine Gourt de Mautens Blanc IGP Vaucluse 2012

The name dates back to 1635 and, in dialect, can be translated as “an area where water flows from chalky, clay, marly soil, when it rains.” There are 13 hectares in total, only 3ha of which are planted with white varietals, so the white wine is sadly available in very small quantities. Certified as both organic and biodynamic and there is an intensity due to the vines being between between 30 and 100 years old – a blend of Grenache Blanc (the majority) and Gris, Bourboulenc, Clairette Blanche, Picardan, Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier and Picpoul Blanc and Gris.

"Maturing with grace and elegance, this offers tropical fruit salad notes, blended with hints of warm brioche and, for rereshment, crisp apple - rather lovely "
