Estancia Los Cardones is a 25-hectare vineyard 1,800 meters above sea level in the remote wine region of Salta, a mountainous desert in north-west Argentina. Originally planted in 2009, the terroir is uncompromising; combining high-altitude, intense sunshine, freezing Andean nights and stony soils. Yet, the vines yield luscious, elegant wines with fruit concentration, mineral length and a savoury hint.
With a year in old French oak, Flor de Cardón is a dark and silky Malbec, with smooth tannins, boasting pureed blackberries, an olive note and mineral length.
