A very deep, brilliant, jet plum-ruby in colour, this has an initially subdued nose, macerated cherries gradually coming to the fore. Dark fruit extends onto a mineral rich, focussed palate, powerful, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and hints of spice. Full and muscular, there is nonetheless grace here, enhanced by underlying freshness - lovely balance and very fine length.
