A deep plum in colour, glittering and intense, it clings languidly to the sides of the glass - enticing. The nose presents heightened black fruit, crème de cassis and compote of cherry, layered with mocha notes, hints of tobacco and vanilla. The palate is more buttoned up and adroit than the 2009 at this stage, showing a more classical structure and definite capacity for ageing, yet opulence prevails overall. This is a powerful, muscular wine the structure of which is camouflaged by luscious fruit.
"A wine that has only been made in certain years. A 50/50 split with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, only 2000bts produced. Phenomenal"

Tuscany’s rolling vineyards and olive groves make it one of the world’s most stunning wine regions, yet it is also Italy’s oldest, dating back to the Etruscans.
