"Estancia Los Cardones is a 25-hectare vineyard located at 1,800 meters above sea level in the remote wine region of Salta, a mountainous desert in the north-western corner of Argentina. A vineyard originally planted in 2009 in an uncompromising terroir combining high-altitude intense sunshine, freezing Andean nights and stony soils, and yielding luscious, elegant wines with fruit concentration, mineral length and a savoury hint.
Made from Malbec grapes grown in the highest part of the vineyard - a prime site, home to unique “tigerstone”, mineral-rich rocks imparting freshness and finesse to the final wine. Aged in (old) French oak barrels for 9 months for a seamless red."
