Torrette is a DOC appellation from Aosta for red wines made of at least 70% Petit rouge, and other red grape varieties, native to Aosta. It can be called “superiore” if it ages for at least 8 months.
This wine is a blend of 90% Petit Rouge and 10% Fumin. Petit Rouge brings the acidity and freshness. The Fumin softens the austerity of the Petit Rouge and adds both body and tannins.
"Intense aromas of rose laced with ripe red fruit, light smoke and spice. Velvety texture and smooth tannins, with a long persistence. From family estate La Source, high in Italy’s mountainous Valle d’Aosta."
