Chateau Gazin 2011

France  >  Bordeaux  >  Pomerol

Deepest plum-ruby in colour, this is richly textured. The nose presents profound, sweet dark fruit, concentrated yet fresh and enticingly aromatic, within a toasted backdrop. The palate is very expressive, similarly perfumed, dense black fruit complemented by mocha cream. The tannic structure is ripe and well-integrated, guiding a poised, layered finish.

One of the mosty loyally followed of all the Pomerol estates and with very good reason, a stunning site. Gazin in 2011 is a blend of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Deepest plum-ruby in colour, this is richly textured, clinging to the glass. The nose presents profound, sweet dark fruit, concentrated yet fresh and enticingly aromatic, within a toasted backdrop. The palate is very expressive, similarly perfumed, dense black fruit complemented by mocha cream. The tannic structure, though dense and powerful, is ripe and well-integrated, guiding a poised, layered finish.
