The Labruyère’s roots in the world of wine date from the mid-19th century but the more recent past is what is really exciting. Edouard Labruyère came to run the family’s estates in 2008 and step by step, together with Nadine Gublin (0enologist) and Michel Rovere (Chef de culture), is determined to re-create an iconic Domaine Jacques Prieur. Convinced that the family is sitting on the best terroirs of the region, his vision is both to establish a world class reputation and to pass on a great estate to future generations.
"This vintage really benefited from a lovely September. Intense ruby in colour with violet notes, the nose offers a lightly spiced blend of black fruit and tobacco, supported by ripe, tight tannins. Vibrant and upbeat, this warrants patience and promises to be excellent"
