Veigadares is a rare, enticing and richer, Albariño style made in the heart of the Rías Baixas, in Galicia, northwestern Spain. It is the fruit of a mesmerizing amphitheatre of vines planted around Adegas Galegas' "Pazo de Almuiña" estate, overlooking the river Miño which marks the border with Portugal. This blend of four indigenous grape varieties (Albariño, Treixadura, Loureira, Caiño) aims at encapsulating the richness of this terroir, combining the delicate, aromatic fruit, with the textural complexity of the oak, and the distinctive mineral core conferred by the nearby Atlantic Ocean. The winemaking is meticulously overlooked by head-winemaker Katia Alvarez.
Lively citrus fragrance, fresh rosemary aromas and vanilla exude from the glass. Bright and elegant, this barrel-fermented and -aged white wine combines luscious baked apple, sweet spices flavours with tantalizing minerality.
"A rare and distinctive barrel-fermented Albariño blend. Richly-textured and fragrant, with orchard fruit characters underlined by a tantalizing minerality.
