The younger sibling of Chateau Ferran from Pessac-Léognan, this is a stylish and invigorating glimpse into the wines of this region. Meticulous work in the vineyards including green harvest, hand picking parcel by parcel, sorting at the vineyard enables the selection and blending of an excellent "second wine" described here under the name of Château de Belloc. Bursting from the glass with aromas of melon, white peach and floral honeysuckle. A wine of playful texture that builds on subtle marzipan and more stone fruit flavours with time. There’s an intensity to the fruit but all is reined in by zippy acidity on the upbeat finish.
