Planted in 1968, Clos des Godeaux comes from 1.61 hectares of south-facing vines, at around 300m elevation. Jean poured this saying, “it has more in common with 2022 than 2023.” Aromas of roses and peonies, with fabulous purity. The palate is zesty, with pretty orange rind flavours delineating the bright red cherry and berry fruit. 100% destemmed. One light pump-over per day, with one punch-down at the end of fermentation.
