A wine of texture and bite, this is a serious Crozes whose pretty red fruit belies a firm, ageworthy bedrock. It is spicy and peppery with an airy and focused finish. There is one third whole bunch fermentation here. Following which, it is aged for 12 months in new and one-year-old barrels, then spends six months in foudres. 13.5% abv.
