All of the Domaine Labruyère Moulin-à-Vent wines give a nod to Burgundy or the Rhône stylistically. This is the latter, spicy and robust and the only wine
to be aged entirely in barrels. Just under a hectare in size, this is a true clos, a south facing walled vineyard, enclosing vines with an average of 70 years old, some of
them planted pre-phylloxera and at a high density - 13,000 vines per hectare.
"Le Clos is the only monopole (vineyard in sole ownership) in Moulin-à-Vent. Look at any image of the iconic
windmill and you will most likely also be looking at this plot."
