I was extremely honoured to be appointed Chairman of Corney & Barrow in October 2009, having been a non-executive director of Corney & Barrow Group since 1999. It has been wonderful to see the company grow substantially in the last 10 years, with a portfolio of over 3,000 wines and opening offices in both Hong Kong and Singapore, an area of the world familiar to me from my 30 years working at the Hong Kong based Jardine Matheson Group.

The focus at Corney & Barrow has always been about relationships, whether that’s the internal relationships with our very capable and approachable staff, our wine suppliers or our long standing customers. Our one goal is to sell great wines and to offer the best customer service.

I have always been passionate about wine and look forward to joining our teams on various trips where I can meet with the individual winemakers and witness first hand where all the magic happens.

I would say I am one of the biggest advocates for our own label range. They truly are great wines and each has been sourced to represent the best example of region and style.
