You should work in what you love, they say. How to do it though? After a degree in English & Philosophy, I spent my twenties teaching in Chile, at law school and then at a City firm, in London and Paris. And then I found the wine trade. I haven’t looked back.
Having started at C&B in Fine Wine Sales in 2010, I gradually became a Fine Wine Buyer, my main role today. It’s a real privilege to work with such a talented group of producers. I spend my time tasting, travelling, writing, buying and selling. When not doing those, I can be found running, cycling and spending time with my family.
A bottle of Bordeaux was my first experience of really good wine and that corner of south west France remains a benchmark for me. Burgundy now consumes more of my time (and I of it, with much pleasure). More recently, I have discovered a love of German Riesling and Pinot. My tastes are unapologetically eclectic though – great wine has no borders!
