The name Clousots reflects the blend of Les Clous (0.60ha, with deep clay soils planted mid-slope, which brings richness) and Crotots (smaller and limestone-rich). The latter, south of the village, is just beneath 1er Cru Les Poruzots. The two parcels are always vinified separately and then blended. A pure nose of wet-stone minerality and pear skin. The palate is crunchy and precise, with a building sense of power and linear drive. More volume, with limestone rigour.
