One day I boarded a plane bound to Shanghai, to join a wine importer and cut my teeth in this industry. 15+ years later, I am fortunate to head Corney & Barrow Asia and live my passion about wine every day.

The journey from the Rhone Valley where I am from to Hong Kong was a fantastic experience. I would do it again without hesitation and with a good bottle of wine in my bag.

I can never choose just one wine with today’s offering, so I’ll give you three. Soldera, Domaine du Pelican Poulsard and Gilles Jourdan Cote de Nuits Villages Blanc. These 3 wines have something in common being made from a single grape type (sangiovese for Soldera, poulsard for Pelican and chardonnay for Jourdan), they are wines with a medium body but an incredible tension that leaves a long lasting sensation in mouth. They exude purity, complexity and delicacy. They are iron fists in velvet gloves. Stunning wines I say!
