My career started with an unremarkable four week stint in financial recruitment during the 2008 stock market crash. I soon realised that following an enjoyable career path was more important for me so I joined the Majestic Wine graduate scheme. From there, via a couple of other importers, I honed my wine knowledge and began to specialise in selling to the hospitality sector. After nearly a decade at C&B, I am now overseeing the on-trade team. Our remit is varied, with customers ranging from gastropubs to Three Michelin Star restaurants and everything in between.

It is a hugely varied role; throughout the course of a day you can be curating a wine list with an owner operator before visiting a Master Sommelier at one of the world’s top restaurants. To be able to work alongside people from two of the best industries, wine and hospitality, really is a privilege!
